The house at Crossbar View Farm bed and breakfast, Soulby, Near Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, was built in 1688 and seems to have been altered greatly over the years. Having bought Crossbar View Farm at auction in 2007, James and Jane Bainbridge have all but pulled the farm down and started building it again. James and Jane have enjoyed bringing this magnificent house back to life and would like you to join them.
Before Jane and James bought the house, it would seem to have been in the same family for several generations, they hope to find out more of Crossbar View Farm's history as the previous owners still live in the village.
Renovating Crossbar View Farm has been a massive journey and hopefully now Jane and James can enjoy their surroundings accompanied by their bed and breakfast residents.
Although not a full working farm there are animals at Crossbar View Farm throughout the year, ranging from pigs, cows, chickens and turkeys. However they are sure one of the children would prefer a horse.
There is ample parking and on arrival afternoon tea will be served in the visitors dining lounge.
